YMS Championship Match vs. Baltimore Casa Mia Bays
|
An early morning game against a fast and formidable opponent. United found themselves offside's several times in the first 10 minutes of the game. The offside's trap is not an easy tactic to learn and perform well, even for athletes much older. Fortunately, the Ukranian Fighting Irish, were not as adept at finishing. Some nice saves on our end, and some tips from the coaches led the team to another shutout. United moves onto the finals. With three games under their belt and no goals against, it was time to face a team from Baltimore. Congratulations on making it to the finals, and for standing tall and tough. With a larger roster and another year of training, United should be poised for a re-match.
